Here's a few images of some 3D Models im working on at the moment. One's the start of a high poly M41a Pulse Rifle (from the film "Aliens", by Jim Cameron, 1986. I'm doing it for a bit of fun and because it looks soo cool). While the other is the start of my self portrait, which is a University project.

DSLR Post Production Tutorial

Here's a great 5 part tutorial on handling DSLR footage and working with the digital files in Adobe Creative Suite. Its nothing ground breaking but its an easy watch and it might help to get you organised, especially if your like me and have files everywhere with no way of knowing what the clip was for or if you've already copied it over to another folder.

I've decided to brand myself with a logo that uses my initials 'A' and 'W'. I did a quick logo and colour theme for one of my modules at uni, which is what I have used to title this blog with, but I find it visually lacking and to me it doesn't stand out. So after a week of roughing out some ideas I finally came up with this logo and a handful of variations. All I have to do now is pick one....

Wow!!! I haven't posted for a while.... Well for the summer I've decided to go back to the start and work on my modelling and texturing skills. My thinking behind this being if you cannot do the most simplest of things then how will you accomplish the more detailed models? I also have a bad habit of getting too far ahead of myself which often leaves me frustrated. As a result I modeled this egg in 3Ds Max.

Finally worked out how to get vimeo videos on here so happy days for me, as sad as that is but this particular video doesnt seem to want to do it, so maybe next time I'll be successful. Here's a beautiful timelapse by Terje Sorgjerd. I was totally hypnotised by this astonishing piece of work.

Here's a beautiful animation that has been kicking around for a while now but I had to post it as I think this is something everyone needs to see... 2D animation is an amazing art form by far but isn't shown or loved as much by the mass media these days as it should be. Not on a motion picture scale at least. Anyway I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.... Enjoy!

With the Easter Holidays fast approaching I will finally have time to work on some personal ambitions/projects. Hopefully allowing me to post up some of my own work, instead of just spreading my love for all things animated.

A day at the Beach...

By the looks of it this'll be my first post, one of many I hope. I went to the beach down the road from me a couple of days ago, as the weather was glorious!!! And had a play with my Cannon 550D. Here's a couple of photos that I really liked from my outing.
